Spoiled?
No, not really. I do enjoy watching
the blessings in my life unfold though.
Being the youngest girl raised by a wonderful "village", it was hard not to be
spoiled at times. But
I did learn how to spoil others that I care about.
Chasing my dreams is pretty nifty. But it's even better when you
work hard to GET the stuff you want. And right now I'm working on
not only creating a sustainable side business, but debt reduction
for the well being on my family.
Family oriented. Fred, Jordan and Josie are my
center.
And lucky for me, rarely do they complain about whatever my
latest obsession just happens to be. But it's great to support them
in theirs too!
I miss my family on
the West Coast a lot. And I miss friends. I consider my friends family as well.
I have met some wonderful people, and am missing my family and friends from all
over the world. Thanks for your support! <----- This is my father :)
Need I say
it? Weird, I mean... crafty.
Making things with my own two hands brings me so
much joy, and I’m totally loving my new craft room. it's where the magic
happens! lol. But beyond the joy of handcrafting, is giving. It makes me
so proud to see someone wearing and enjoying my artwork. I am so honored to be a
part of someone's life in that way. It's a very humbling experience.
I remember
watching my birth mother came over to visit. My sister learned to
crochet and Eleanor decided to take over the hook. Without a
pattern she created a lovely hat and baby booties! I was
amazed! But, at only 7 or 8 years old wasn't quite ready to
undertake the task of learning.
Years
later as a college student, I visited an elderly friend who created
vintage-style afghans. I begged her to teach me, but she hadn't the
patience. Instead, she allowed me to pick a pattern from her stash,
and let me study on my own. With my best friend having a baby
I was determined to finish the blanket. I was so proud to give
it.
So crochet
was a part of my creative arsenal. After the blanket for my new
baby godson (Hi Taji!) I wanted to make clothing as well. It was
very frustrating that most of the patterns I looked at that appealed to
me most were knit patterns, I figured I would have to add knitting to
the artistic arsenal. I picked up a book and
needles and got to
work.

Jewelry
making is relatively new to me. There are few pieces I've seen that
I just couldn't live without having myself. But I'm the type of
person that would rather make it myself if possible. So I am
always hunting for a new and excited craft.
I'm inspired by things
that are a little funky, and a touch out of the ordinary.
What
inspires you?
